App Privacy
Delister is built on a simple principle: your personal data belongs to you, not us. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your personal information. Everything happens on your device.
1. Our Privacy Commitment
Delister (“the App”) is developed and published by Delister LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. The short version: we don’t collect any.
Unlike most data privacy services that require you to hand your personal information to yet another company, Delister processes everything entirely on your iPhone. There is no Delister server. There is no Delister database. Your name, address, email, phone number, and other personal details never leave your device through us.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We want to be explicit about what we do not do:
- No personal information collection. We never receive your name, address, email, phone number, date of birth, or any other personal details you enter into the App.
- No analytics or telemetry. We do not use any analytics SDKs (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase, etc.). We have no way to know how you use the App.
- No crash reporting with personal data. We do not use crash reporting services that could transmit your information.
- No advertising. The App contains no ads, no ad SDKs, and no advertising identifiers.
- No device fingerprinting. We do not collect device identifiers, hardware information, or any data that could be used to identify your device.
- No location tracking. The App does not request or use your location.
- No contacts, photos, or other device data. The App accesses none of your device’s personal data stores.
3. How Your Data Is Handled On-Device
When you enter personal information into Delister, here is exactly what happens to it:

If you choose to save your profile between sessions, it is stored in the iOS Keychain with the flag kSecAttrAccessibleWhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnly. This means your data is encrypted by your device’s Secure Enclave hardware, is only accessible when your device is unlocked, does not sync to iCloud or other devices, and is not included in device backups.
4. Network Activity
The App does make network requests, but only to data broker websites — never to any server we operate. Here is what happens:
During Scanning
When you initiate a scan, the App loads data broker search pages in isolated browser sessions (WKWebView with ephemeral, non-persistent data stores). This is functionally identical to you visiting those websites in Safari and searching for your own name. Each broker gets a separate, isolated session — no cookies or data leak between brokers or back to the App.
During Removal
When you submit a removal request through the App, it opens the broker’s opt-out page in a browser view that you can see and interact with. The App may pre-fill form fields with your information to save you time. For email-based removals, the App opens your device’s mail client with a pre-drafted message — the email is sent from your own email account, not from us.
Tracker Blocking
When loading broker websites, the App blocks common tracking scripts (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, ad network tags) to reduce the amount of data brokers can collect about you during the opt-out process.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following Apple-provided services:
- StoreKit 2 — for subscription management. Apple processes payments; we never see your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details.
- UNUserNotificationCenter — for local scan reminder notifications. These are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No push notification server is involved.
We do not use any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or cloud services.
6. Data Broker Websites
When the App interacts with data broker websites on your behalf, those websites are operated by third parties with their own privacy practices. Your interactions with broker sites during scanning and removal are subject to those brokers’ privacy policies. We have no control over how data brokers handle the information displayed on their websites or submitted through their opt-out processes.
7. Children’s Privacy
Delister is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we do not collect any information from anyone, this risk is inherently mitigated.
8. Your Rights
Because we do not collect or store any of your personal information, traditional data subject rights (access, deletion, portability) do not apply to us — there is nothing to access, delete, or port. Your data exists only on your device, and you have full control over it at all times.
You can erase all locally stored data at any time through Settings → Erase All Data in the App. This permanently deletes your profile from the Keychain, clears all preferences, and removes all session history.
9. California Residents (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you. We collect none. We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we collect no personal information, we have nothing to sell or share.
10. International Users
Because all data processing occurs on your device and no data is transmitted to us, there are no cross-border data transfers to consider. Regardless of where you are located, your data stays on your device.
11. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Our core commitment — that your data never leaves your device through us — will not change.
12. App Store Privacy Label
Our App Store Privacy Label truthfully states: “Data Not Collected.” We are able to make this declaration because Delister genuinely does not collect any data from its users.
