Answers to common questions about scanning, removals, subscriptions, and your data — plus how to reach us directly if you're still stuck.
Because Delister has no servers, we can't look at your account, your scan results, or your data to debug a problem — we genuinely can't see it. If something's wrong, the fastest fix is usually a screenshot and the steps below.
No. Delister has no login, no account, and no backend to sign up for. Open the app, enter your info, and scan. Everything is tied to your device, not to an account with us.
Your name and state are required — those two alone let Delister check most brokers. Email, phone, and address are optional and improve match accuracy on brokers that index that data too.
Saving stores your profile in the iOS Keychain, encrypted by your device's Secure Enclave — it never syncs to iCloud or leaves your phone. It just saves you re-typing before each scan. If you'd rather nothing persist between sessions, leave it unsaved and it lives only in memory until you close the app.
Delister scans brokers in parallel by loading their actual websites, so speed depends on your connection and how those sites are responding at that moment. If a scan hangs for more than a couple of minutes: check you have a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi is more reliable than a weak cellular signal), close and reopen the app, then re-run the scan. If one specific broker consistently stalls, it may have changed its site — let us know which one so we can update it.
Tap the result to view the matched record, then use Not Me to dismiss it. Dismissed results are remembered so they won't reappear on future scans — you can review or restore them anytime in Settings → Managed Results.
This usually means the broker's site changed its layout, requires a slightly different search format, or that broker isn't in our registry of 54 yet. Send us the broker's name and URL — since our broker data ships as a versioned file, we can often fix a matching issue in an update without needing a full app release.
It's the same thing you'd do manually in Safari — search each broker for your name — automated across 54 sites at once, in isolated, cookie-free sessions on your device. See our Privacy Policy for the full technical breakdown.
Broker sites change their forms without notice, which can break auto-fill on a specific field. You can always fill the remaining fields by hand — the browser view is fully interactive. If a broker's form is consistently broken, tell us which one and we'll fix the selectors.
Email-based removals hand off to your iPhone's default Mail app with the message pre-drafted. If nothing opens, confirm you have a mail account configured under Settings → Mail on your device. As a fallback, use the copy button to copy the drafted email text and paste it into any mail app or webmail yourself.
It varies by broker — some process instantly, others take days to weeks, and a few require an email confirmation step. We recommend re-scanning every 30–60 days, since brokers can also re-list data they've re-scraped from public records.
Some brokers require ID verification or a confirmation click for legal compliance. Delister gets you to that step correctly filled out, but the broker's own verification process is outside our control — that request is coming from them, not from us.
Free scans all 54 brokers and shows which have your data, with a risk level. Pro unlocks the detailed match view, auto-filled removal forms, pre-drafted opt-out emails, and unlimited re-scans.
All subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple, not by us — we never see your payment details. Go to iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, choose Delister, and cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Try Settings → Restore Purchases first — this re-checks your entitlement with Apple directly. If it still doesn't unlock: confirm you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the purchase, force-quit and reopen the app, and if you're on a TestFlight build, note that sandbox subscriptions renew on an accelerated schedule and can occasionally get out of sync — reinstalling the TestFlight build usually resolves it.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, or via Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device.
You can set a reminder to re-scan every 14, 30, 60, or 90 days from Settings → Scan Reminders. These are scheduled locally on your device — there's no push server, so nothing about your reminder schedule is sent anywhere.
Check iPhone Settings → Delister → Notifications is turned on. If you initially declined the notification permission prompt, iOS won't re-ask — you'll need to enable it manually from that same Settings screen.
Go to Settings → Erase All Data. This removes your saved profile from the Keychain, clears preferences, and wipes session history — all on-device, instantly. There's no backend copy to separately delete, because none exists.
Unsaved profile data disappears the moment you close the app. A saved profile is removed from the Keychain when you delete the app. Either way, deleting Delister leaves nothing behind — there's no account or server record tied to you.
No. Delister has no analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry of any kind. When you contact support, the only information we have is whatever you choose to include in your message.
For bugs, broker issues, billing questions, or anything not covered above. We read every message ourselves.
